Veteran's Day Parade

2012

Coming or going, a fine looking bunch of Southerners

Honor America sponsored the annual Melbourne Veterans Day Parade. We had a Color Guard, riflemen, decorated convertible and Mechanized Cavalry.

We had a good time (mild weather) and the lighter than usual crowd was very receptive withsupportive shouts from the sidewalks.

The Veteran’s Day Parade followed the usual route through old downtown Melbourne. We had anice 5 man Color Guard and were followed by a vehicle covered with magnetic SCV signs and“We Support Our Troops” flags.

We are pleased to report that our unit was widely welcomed by
the spectators with salutes, “Our boys…”, cheers, and “Thank you!”

A tip of the kepi tocompatriots Rob Murray, Gerry and Greg Carson, Commander Kevin Atchison, and Don Young.

Miss Sarah drove the vehicle, followed by Richard Lee and Wesley Frank on their threewheelers for the Mechanized Cavalry. The bikes made a nice addition to the unit with theircustom decorations and flags.

A great traditional event complete with lunch at O’Malley’s.

A tip of the kepi to whom ever provided these photos.
