Former Confederate General Stephen Dill Lee’s Commission to the SCV
To You, Sons of Confederate Veterans,
we submit the vindication of the Cause for which we fought;
to your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name,
the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues,
the perpetuation of those principles he loved and which made him glorious and
which you also cherish.

As many of you are aware, every Christmas Season, our camp makes monetary and fooddonations to this charitable organization in Melbourne. In addition, at our September,October, November, and December meetings we ask members to donate nonperishablefood items for donation to this organization also. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit CITAreally hard trying to serve those in need. CITA will be very appreciative of anything wecan do to help them, and we can feel good about ourselves for helping our communityand those less fortunate than us. Please bring non-perishable food items to the Sep 24 camp meeting for donation. Anything you can donate will be much appreciated.
